Wa Whakata?

Nei ra te mihi ki a Rico mo tōna mahi tino kaha i te wā whakatā. Ngā mihi hoki ki a māmā mo te kōrero me ngā whakaahua.

This weekend Rico played Rugby League. He scored 2 trys. His team won their game.

Rico also had his first Gymnastics Competition. He represents Olympia Gym Club.

He Placed 1st on Pommel, 1st on Parallel Bars, 2nd on Floor, 2nd on Vault, 4th on Rings.

Our Rangatira Kaupapa

In akomanga toru we each take a turn to be the "Rangatira o te Ra" - 'The chief of the day'. 

The role entails;

Deliver a mihi to open our day
Leading our daily karakia
Acknowledging those present within the classroom with a mihi
Able to be the first speaker for morning kōrero 

Being the leader of the line whenever we need to move around kura
Choose books to be read
Sit on a special chair
Help give out books and pens

This week we acknowledge our Rangatira Kaupapa - Rico, Lorenze and Tawera. These are our chiefs who can help us with any problems - maths, reading and writing and reo Māori. Tau kē tama!

O Tatou Poutokomanawa

I te Rātu i tuhi mātou i tētahi kōrero e pā ana ki o mātou poutokomanawa ko E Pa.

He waimarie hoki mātou na te mea, i te mutunga o te tuhi i kuhu mai ia i te kuaha.

I miss E Pa for teaching rugby. I miss for teaching. I miss for  "w te   k n. I miss for E Pa. 

Dear E Pa. I care and miss you more than the whole entire world, love Lorenze. and i miss you playing rugby with you and giving us lollies and stuff like that. 

I miss E Pa because he's really really nice and cool and he teaches us rugby. Love from Rico 

I miss you E Pa and your lumpy stamps. I like E Pa.
